"Strohmaier, a coach's dream, is still searching for a college at which to continue her soccer career next year. But for now, she is focused on the task at hand. Last season, she did everything Keller asked of her. Whether that meant getting out in front to stimulate scoring opportunities or anchoring the defense, Strohmaier was an all-purpose weapon for the Warriors."

What coaches have said about Louie:

"Louie was absolutely huge. She sacrificed scoring goals and getting assists and moved back to play stopper. She took it to a higher level in the Lincoln-Way game. She controlled the midfield. She utilized her quickness to get to balls and was a real vocal leader in the back and took a lot of pride in what her position demanded."

High School Varsity Coach

Naperville Sun, April 28, 2000

"Louie has always been dangerous because of her short-range quickness and long-range pure speed. Add to this her dribbling and ball control skills and you can understand how dangerous a player she can be! After over 20 years of coaching, I can say that Melissa packs more dynamic energy per pound than any player I've ever coached."
